Contest Rules

1.       HAVE FUN”, Eat healthy, and EXERCISE!!
2.       The INITIAL weigh-in will be on Friday, January 6 at 7:45am-8:30am. (Weigh-ins will be on the same scale at the same time. This will keep things consistent and honest)
3.       The FINAL weigh-in will be on Friday, March 2 at 7:45am-8:30am
4.       Weigh-ins will occur every Friday between 7:45am-8:30am
5.       There is a one-time $25 registration fee which “MUST” be paid during your first weigh-in.
6.       You can join at any time during the first TWO weeks (but the longer you wait, the harder it will be to win)
7.       All monies owing to the pot should be paid during the time of weigh-in or prior to the following weigh-in. (So if you have a bad week, be prepared to break out the spare change)***
8.       $1 Weigh-in Fee per week applied to all contestants (added to the Weekly Penalty Pot)
9.       There will be a penalty fee of $1 applied if your weight stays the same (added to the Weekly Penalty Pot)
10.   There will be a penalty fee of $1 if you miss weigh-in. This will be combined with the weekly weigh-in fee of $1, for a total of $2 each time you miss a weigh-in. (added to the Weekly Penalty Pot)
11.   There will be a penalty fee of $1 added for each pound gained (i.e. Gain 3lbs, you owe $3)
12.   The individual who loses the MOST weight that week will WIN the Weekly Penalty Pot!!!!
13.   The TEAM with the most COMBINED weight loss percentage WINS the GRAND PRIZE.


***The competition will be based on the percent of body weight loss. The calculation is to take your actual weight and subtract it from your initial weight. Then divide that number by your initial (starting) weight. Take that number and multiply it by 100 and you get your weight loss percentage.
((IW-AW)/IW) * 100= weight loss percentage

So if I start at 170, and I lose 7 lbs in a month and end up at 163.
That’s 170-163 (7lbs),
Take 7lbs. and divide it by my starting weight (170). 7/170=0.041176
Multiply that by 100 and you get 4.12%
